Brocolli Chutney
Ingredients
  • Here is the recipe girls: 1cup Broccoli, chopped
  • 5 to 6 Red Chilies
  • ½ tsp Mustard Seeds
  • ½ tsp Bengal Gram (Pachi Senagapappu, Chana Dal)
  • ½ tsp Black Gram (Minapapappu, Urad Dal)
  • ¼ tsp Cumin Seeds
  • ½ tsp peanuts
  • ½ tsp Tamarind pulp
  • A pinch of Turmeric Powder
  • 1 small tomato
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt and 1 to 2 garlic pods
Steps
  1. Heat half of the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add cumin seeds + chana dal + urad dal + peanuts +red chilies and fry till the dals turn golden brown. Then transfer them to a plate.
  2. In the same pan pour rest of the oil and add broccoli . Sauté well until they become little soft. Then add tomato.Also add turmeric  and mix well till the  veggies become little tender,
  3. Let them cool for some time and then grind all the ingredients  (both dals mixture + veggies mixture) into a soft paste along with tamarind ,garlic pods and salt. Add little water if needed.
  4. Enjoy this yummy pickle with rice and little ghee. Mix this pickle with plain yogurt to eat with chapathis. It tastes great!!
