Custard & Jam Bread N Butter Meringue Pudding

4 to 5 slices of crustless buttered bread and cut in triangles. place/layer into bottom of baking dish.

4 eggs plus 4 yolks

1 cup milk

1 cup cream

¼ cup sugar

1 tbls custard powder

1 tsp cornflour

¼ tsp nutmeg

½ tsp vanilla essence

beat eggs, sugar, cornflour, custard powder, vanilla, milk & cream togeather and pour over the bread in dish

and sprinkle with nutmeg and bake for about 30mins in 170 to 180 oven until set in middle

Just before it is ready

whip up 4 egg whites

1 pinch cream of tartar

2 tbls sugar

until very stiff.
