Matar Pulao Recipe, Green Peas Pulao
Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil (any edible oil)
  • 1 small cinnamon stick (dalchini)
  • 2 cloves (loung)
  • 2 cardamoms (elaichi)
  • 1 bay leaf (tej patta)
  • ¼ tsp shahi zeera (caraway seeds)
  • ¼ tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1 medium size onion, finely sliced
  • 5 slit green chillies
  • ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ¾ cup green peas/ matar (can use frozen peas as well)
  • 4 cups water
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves (hara dhaniya)
  • 2 cups basmati rice (soaked for 30 minutes in water)
