French Toast Casserole
Ingredients
  • 1½ Cup Firmly packed brown sugar
  • ¾ Cup Butter
  • ¼ Cup + 2 Tbsp Karo Syrup
  • French Bread load - 10 slices (1 ¾ " thick)
  • 4 Large Eggs lightly beaten
  • 2½ Cup Half and Half
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ Cup Butter melted
Steps
  1. Combine 1st three ingredients in a pan.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for 5 minutes or until mix is bubbly.
  3. Pour syrup mix evenly into a lightly greased 13X9 pan.
  4. Arrange bread over syrup.
  5. Combine eggs and next three ingredients - stir well
  6. Gradually pour mixture over bread slices
  7. Cover and chill 8 hours or over night
  8. Combine Sugar and Cinnamon - sprinkle evenly over bread.
  9. Drizzle melted butter over bread
  10. Bake uncovered @ 350' for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown
