  • 3 garlic cloves minced                                  1  15 oz can of cannellini beans
  • 1 29 oz can of Tomato sauce                         1  15 can navy beans ( optional)
  • 5 ½ cups of water                                        ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp  dried parsley                                       1 pound of elbow pasta or ditalini or small shells
  • 1 ½ tsp dried basil
