Turkey Apple Loaf
Sausage style breakfast loaf made with ground turkey instead of pork sausage.

Ingredients
  • 2 lb ground turkey
  • ¼ c. chopped onions (or 1 small)
  • 1 c. green apple, peeled and diced
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ c. milk
  • 1 ½ c. Ritz crackers, crushed (about 1 sleeve)
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons sage
  • 2 teaspoon fennel seed
  • 2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne (optional)
  • 1 ⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 ⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 ⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 ⁄4 teaspoon allspice
  • Real Maple Syrup, optional
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 400. Generously grease and flour a loaf or bundt pan and set aside. In large bowl or food processor mix together all the ingredients until well blended. Put into prepared pan. Cook until internal temperature reaches 180F, about 1 hour. Invert loaf onto serving dish and cut into even servings. Brush with real maple syrup, if desired.
