Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Ingredients
  • 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 Small can crushed pineapple
  • ¼ cup or more Brown Sugar
  • ½ Stick Butter (melted)
Steps
  1. Mix cake according to instructions on box.
  2. Grease a 6 cup bundt pan or 6" or 7" cake pan.
  3. Pour melted butter in bottom of pan
  4. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter to create a glaze.
  5. Place pineapple evenly in the pan on top of the butter (I used a little of the juice also)
  6. Pour in enough batter to fill the pan ⅔ full.
  7. Cover pan parchement paper and then foil loosely or use the non stick foil.
  8. Place trivet & 1.5 cups water into Instant Pot.
  9. Set cake pan on top of trivet I used trivit with the handles so I didn't need to make a sling
  10. Cook on High for 22 Mins; Natural Pressure Release.
  11. Remove cake, uncover & set on cooling rack for 10 mins.
  12. Turn cake onto a plate for serving.
Notes
  • Add cherries with pineapple if you like them
