Monterey Broccoli Cauliflower Casserole

I love the Low Carb lifestyle but I have a big family so not all my recipes are low carb. Some of my recipes are changed to fit my taste. I also love DIY home goods.

1 lb chopped broccoli (0.45 kg)

1 lb chopped cauliflower (0.45 kg)

3 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

1½ cups grated Monterey Jack (375 mL)

4 oz cream cheese, softened (125 g)

1 /2 cup whipping cream (125 mL)

1 /4 cup water (60 mL)

1 tbsp olive oil (15 mL)

2 tsp bottled crushed garlic (10 mL)

1 1 /4 tsp salt (6 mL)

1 /2 tsp cornstarch, OR arrowroot powder (optional) (2 mL)

1 /2 tsp black pepper (2 mL)
