Crock Pot Chicken Chow Mein with Water Chestnuts and Bean Sprouts
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 ½ pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in 1" pieces
  • 4 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 4 green onions, all parts, sliced
  • 3 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ⅓ cup light soy sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 4 ounces sliced water chestnuts (increase this if desired)
  • 8 ounces bean sprouts, fresh preferred, canned works
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • ½ cup water
