Punjabi Besan (Gram Flour) Paratha
Ingredients
  • subheading: For the dough:
  • 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  • ¼ cup atta (whole wheat flour)
  • ½ medium onion, chopped small
  • 1 green chilli, chopped small
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves, ground to a paste
  • ½ cup hara dhania (cilantro), chopped
  • ½ tsp salt, or to taste
  • ½ tsp red chilli flakes
  • ½ tsp ajwain (carom) seeds
  • ½ tsp kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
  • ½ tsp amchur (mango powder)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Water as needed, to knead the flour
  • subheading: To make the paratha:
  • Whole wheat flour as needed
  • Oil, for frying
