Making Yogurt Microwave Method (Instant Pot Ultra)
Ingredients
  • ½ Gallon Skim Milk
  • ½ Cup Dry Milk if using skim milk
  • 1 tbs yogurt
Steps
  1. Pour half gallon into 2-quart Pyrex measuring cup
  2. Add ½ cup dry milk if using skim milk.  Mix
  3. Heat milk about 15 to 18 minutes uncovered in the microwave (start with 15 and continue in 30 second intervals until temp it reached.
  4. Check temp until it reaches 183° - 186°
  5. Dump into IP liner pot
  6. Cool water bath
  7. Recheck temp until it reaches 105° - 110°
  8. Add Starter
  9. Dry bottom of line and put in IP
  10. Turn dial to YOGURT
  11. a. Press to select
  12. b. Press dial to select TIME 11 hours (or however long you want)
  13. c. Press the dial to confirm TEMP (LOW, MED, HIGH, Custom)
  14. d. Select MEDIUM (107°F) or CUSTOM (you can choose between 100°F-110°F)
  15. e. Press dial to confirm
  16. f. Press the START button. Incubation will start. When cycle has ended, the display will show YOGT.
  17. Strain for Greek Yogurt and Enjoy!
