Ingredients
- 1-½ lbs. sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
- 2 Tbl. butter
- ½ lb. white mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1-¾ cups beef broth
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup sour cream
- 3 to 4 cups cooked noodles (¾ pack)
- Frozen peas
Steps
- Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter, remove to a plate
- Cook beef in hot oil until browned
- Add 1 cup broth, ketchup, garlic and salt. Bring to boil then simmer covered for 20 minutes
- Meanwhile heat water for noodles
- Mix flour with the remaining ½ cup broth
- When simmer is done, add noodles to boiling water
- Add onions, mushrooms to the beef mixture, bring to boil. Stir in flour mixture and heat until thickened, a little thicker than you want in the end.
- Add sour cream and keep warm with the lid back on.
- Serve beef mixture over noodles with peas on the side
