Slow Cooker Szechuan Shredded Chicken
Ingredients
  • ¼ tsp powdered ginger
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 to 3 cloves of garlic
  • ½ cup red onion (about 1 small onion)
  • ⅓ cup green pepper (about ½ of 1 pepper)
  • ⅓ cup red pepper (about ½ of 1 pepper)
  • ⅓ cup yellow pepper (about ½ of 1 pepper)
  • 12 oz of BBQ sauce
  • 6 oz of ketchup
  • ⅓ cup red wine vinegar
  • 12 oz szechuan sauce
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • sesame seeds
  • 6 to 7 lbs of chicken thighs with skin or bone in chicken breast with skin
Steps
  1. Add everything to crockpot and let cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  2. Remove chicken skins and shred chicken with forks
