Cheesy Bacon Chicken & Taters
SERVES 4 TO 6
Cooking time: 6 hours on low
Ingredients
  • 1 package (32 ounces) frozen potato nuggets (like Tater Tots or Crispy Crowns) or shredded hash browns
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup cooked, chopped bacon, divided
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¾ cup milk or cream
Steps
  1. 1 Grease well or spray the crock of a 6- to 7-quart slow cooker.
  2. 2 Place ½ of the potatoes in the bottom of the crock. Place ½ of the chicken pieces on top of the
  3. potatoes. Sprinkle ½ the bacon over the chicken. Distribute 1 cup of cheese over the top. Repeat
  4. layers once more.
  5. 3 Stir salt and pepper into milk or cream, and then pour over mixture.
  6. 4 Cover and cook for 6 hours on low.
