1 and ½ cups smooth peanut butter

½ cup sugar

¼ cup corn starch

2 cups milk

3 eggs yolks

⅛ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

subheading: Meringue:

3 egg whites, room temperature

3 tablespoons sugar

½ teaspoon cream of tartar

¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

pinch salt
