Better Homes and Gardens Easy Chili
That's the go-to. I don't let it simmer when I'm putting it in the slow cooker.
Or, make it the day before and throw it in the slow cooker on warm for the day you want to eat it.

  • cup chopped green pepper

  • (16 ounce) can tomatoes, cut up

  • (16 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, drained
  • 1
  • (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 to 3
  • teaspoons chili powder

  • teaspoon dried basil, crushed

  • DIRECTIONS
  • In a large saucepan cook ground beef/turkey, onion, green pepper, and garlic till meat is brown.
