Ingredients

  • ½ cup dried chickpeas (¼ lb) to soak
  • ¼ tsp baking soda to soak
  • 1 tsp salt to soak
  • ½ small red onion chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 to 3 cloves of garlic
  • ½ Serrano chopped
  • 1 scallion chopped
  • ½ tbsp chickpea flour
  • 1 tsp salt as per taste
  • ½ tbsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • Oil to fry
  • subheading: Spicy tahini:
  • ¼ cup Tahini
  • ½ tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Lemon
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 to 2 tbsp harissa/ Hot sauce
  • ½ tsp Chili powder
  • subheading: Veggie mix:
  • 8 to 10 Cherry tomatoes; sliced in half or into 4 pieces
  • ½ cup red onions chopped
  • ⅓ cup chopped cucumber
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Parsley  chopped
  • 1 tbsp Zaatar
  • subheading: Assembly:
  • 4 to 5 Lavash/Flatbreads
