  • 10 oz (2½ cups) French green beans, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 celery sticks (7 oz), chopped
  • 1 cup dry brown rice
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: green onions, chopped
