Instant Pot Bolognese Sauce (Italian Meat Sauce)
Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef (I use 90/10)
  • ½ lb. Italian sausage
  • 4 oz pancetta diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion minced
  • 1 to 2 medium carrots peeled and minced
  • 1 stalk celery minced
  • 7 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup dry red wine
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • ⅔ cup beef broth - reduced sodium preferred (or water)
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 ½ Tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • subheading: ADD AFTER PRESSURE COOKING:
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
