Instant Pot Chili
Ingredients
  • 1 TBS Olive Oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 green pepper (about ½ cup), diced
  •  
  • 1 can (15 to 16 oz) red kidney beans - undrained
  • 1 can (15 to 16oz) garbanzo or cannellini beans - undrained
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
  •  
  • 1 TBS chili powder (½ TBS per can of beans used)
  • 2 tsp dried oregano leaves
  • 2 tsp ground cumin (1 per can of beans used)
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 TBS white sugar
Steps
  1. Turn on IP to saute setting.
  2. Peel and chop the onions & garlic.
  3. Once pot has come to "HOT", add hamburger and onions.
  4. Saute until hamburger is brown and onions are translucent.
  5. Add minced garlic and saute for a few minutes more.
  6. Add diced green peppers.
  7. Add all remaining ingredients and stir to mix.
  8. Put on lid and set to "SEAL".
  9. Cook on HP for 15 minutes.
  10. NP release.
