Italian inspired Turkey Meatballs in a spicy tomato basil sauce with creamy Burrata cheese

  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, minced

  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • subheading: For the sauce:
  • 2 cups tomato sauce or your favorite pasta sauce (marinara works well)
  • 4 to 5 large basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Optional: 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 4 to 6 ounces of Burrata cheese, cut into large pieces
