Bread Pudding

Ingredients
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 C Milk
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla
  • 4 C Cubed french bread
  • subheading: Optional:
  • 1 C Chocolate chips or
  • 1 C Raisins or
  • 2 Bananas
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350° and grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Stir in bread and optional items. Let bread soak for five minutes and put in prepared pan.
  3. Line a roasting pan with a damp kitchen towel. Place loaf pan on towel inside of roasting pan on the oven rack. Fill roasting pan with water to reach halfway up the sides of the roasting pan. Bake in preheated oven for one hour or until knife inserted in center comes clean.
