IP MASHED POTATOES
almost 5 lb bag but you can do less
Ingredients
  • 5 lb Bag Russet Potatoes
Steps
  1. Either soak or scrub to clean
  2. Peel Potatoes and cut into about 1 inch cubes
  3. 1 C Water I used preheated water from microwave
  4. Trivet
  5. Place 1 Cup hot water & trivet into liner, add potatoes
  6. Place lid on pot and set Manual pressure for 12 minutes, when done let it NPR (takes about 10 minutes)
  7. Remove lid, remove potatoes and let cool for about 5 minutes. Place potatoes in large bowl and add S&P, ½ C milk and Whip with hand held mixer
  8. I did this to put into freezer to use on Green Chili Stew (Shepard’s Pie) later and will then pop the pie into oven at 350 to 375 after I have sprinkled cheese on top.
  9. Took about 10 minutes to come up to pressure and 12 to cook and another 10 to NR.
