Thermomix Vanilla Cake

I have always loved cooking, and now that I am no longer working I have time to find and experiment with new recipes. The addition of a Thermomix to my kitchen has also helped in this process, as well as making life much easier!

200 g butter

200 g caster sugar

pinch of salt

2 tsp vanilla extract

4 eggs

200 g self-raising flour

subheading: For the buttercream:

185 g butter room temp

300 g icing sugar mixture

2 tbs milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 drop pink food colouring (optional)
