Instant Pot Beer Brats

Ingredients
  • 2 pkgs Johnsonville Original Brats
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 T. minced garlic
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 bottle/can beer
Steps
  1. Sauté the brats in olive oil in the Instant Pot for about 4 minutes total (there may  still be pink visible through the casings in spots).
  2. While brats are cooking, slice onion and cut peppers in strips.
  3. Remove the brats and sauté a sliced onion until it is soft adding in a couple heaping tablespoons  of minced garlic for the last minute.
  4. Remove onions & garlic and deglaze the Instant Pot with a few ounces of beer.
  5. Return brats, onions & garlic to the Instant Pot then top with sliced peppers and pour remaining beer over everything.
  6. Cook on high pressure for 4 minutes and quick release.
  7. Serve on hot dog buns with deli mustard
