Chocolate Pound Cake
Ingredients
  • ¼ cup butter, room temp
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1½ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 eggs, add 1 at a time and beat after each addition
  • 1½ cup flour
  • 1 tsp. dark cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup chocolate syrup
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Spray loaf pan w/Pam*
  3. Cream butter, oil with sugar
  4. Add vanilla
  5. Add eggs, 1 at a time being sure to beat after each one
  6. Blend in chocolate syrup
  7. Whisk together flour.baking powder and cocoa powder
  8. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture...alternating with milk
  9. Transfer to loaf pan
  10. Bake for 75 to 80 minutes
  11. Let cool in pan for 20 minutes before removing
Notes
  • *Ingredients can be doubled to make in a bundt pan
