Brown Sugar Butterscotch Cupcakes
Used the sauce and frosting from this recipe. For the cake I used the Butterscotch cake using mix recipe
Ingredients
  • ¼ cup ( 4 Tbsp; 56g) unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup ( 150g) packed light or dark brown sugar
  • ¾ cup (180ml) heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Brown Sugar Cupcakes
  • 1 and ⅔ cup ( 209g) all-purpose flour ( spooned & leveled)
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup ( 200g) packed light or dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup ( 8 Tbsp; 113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • ¼ cup ( 60g) yogurt*
  • ¾ cup (180ml) milk*
  • 1 Tablespoon (15ml) pure vanilla extract
  • Vanilla Frosting
  • 1 cup ( 16 Tbsp; 226g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 3 to 4 cups (360-4 80g) confectioners’ sugar
  • ¼ cup (60ml) heavy cream*
  • 2 and ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • salt, to taste
