  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • 2 tsp. espresso powder or instant espresso granules
  • 4 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp. coffee liqueur, such as Kahlua (optional)
  • Hot water, for water bath
  • Vanilla or coffee-flavored ice cream, for serving
