Chicken Pot Pie Filling
Leave out clear gel when canning then thicken when you reheat to serve
Ingredients
  • 4 quarts of water
  • 10 chicken breasts (or you may use 7 breasts and 6 thighs to incorporate dark meat)
  • 2 cups onions, chopped
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 5 cups carrots, chopped
  • 4 cups frozen peas
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp celery seeds
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 ⅓ cups Canning Gel aka ClearJel®
  • 8 cups of chicken broth
