Look for "Soy Free Tofu" in my Collection. You will see 3 different types you can actually make: with Chickpeas, Beans and Lentils. Unfermented Soy foods are actually bad for our Health, but now we can Venture a new interest with these ingredients and make our own Tofu any time we like, and cheaper too. They work out just fine and they look simply great!
Ingredients
  • subheading: For the Sauce:
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice, from 2 to 3 limes
  • 3 tablespoons  hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon  honey, optional
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ⅓ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • subheading: For the Rice:
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • subheading: For the Stir Fry:
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or other high-heat oil for frying)
  • 1 block firm or extra-firm tofu, pressed and cut into ½-inch cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into ½-inch strips
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced into ½-inch strips
  • ⅓ cup fresh shiitake mushrooms
  • 2 cups fresh mung bean sprouts
