Ingredients
  • 5 large catfish steaks, Garlic salt or season salt, ¼ cup of sugar, blk pepper, 4  pho spoon nuoc man,  minced shallots and garlic, ½ can coco rico, garnishes optional green onions n whole red peppers but nice to have.
Steps
  1. 1. Sprinkle catfish steaks with season salt or garlic salt
  2. 2. Heat pan on medium high, caramelize the sugar. Once it melts, stir and add in garlic n shallots for 1 min. Add catfish steaks
  3. 3. Add in coco Rico and 4 pho spoon of nuoc mam. Sprinkle black pepper over fish, let sit for 1 min, flip do the same for other side.
  4. 3. Cover and let simmer on medium to medium low for about 10 min. Uncover and flip again so other side gets caramelization.
  5. 4. Let simmer for5 to 10 min til desired color of golden brown and sauce thickens . Add extra nuoc mam if needed but if not sprinkle green onions n
  6. Red peppers.
