The very best meal for my doggy!
Ingredients
  • 750g beef gravy beef, cubed (or minced)*
  • 750g chicken breast, cubed (or minced)*
  • ½ cup brown rice, uncooked
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup broccoli, chopped - the stems are super healthy
  • ¾ cup butternut/pumpkin, peeled and chopped
  • ½ large sweet potato, semi-peeled and diced
  • 1 cup whole baby beans (or ½ x 400g can red kidney beans, drained & rinsed)
  • 3 carrots, finely chopped
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced (no core or seeds)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 sardines, mashed and a little of the oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  •  
  • ½ teaspoon of probiotic powder added to each meal as well as ½ teaspoon powdered eggshells added to his bowl.
Steps
  1. Place all ingredients in slow cooker except sardines and eggs.
  2. Cook on High for 3 to 4 hours or Low for 6 to 7 hours.
  3. Once cooked mash with a fork or masher and add beaten eggs in a thin stream and mix thoroughly.
  4. Then cool slightly and add mashed sardines. Mix well.
Notes
  • * Using gravy beef and chicken breast (or thigh fillets) is better than minced as minced meat makes it very sloppy.
  • Corn kernels can be added as well as other veggies like spinach, kale, etc. Also turkey or lamb could be used.
