Seafood and Sausage Stew

  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped

  • ⅓ c. dry white wine
  • 1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 (8-ounce) bottles clam juice
  • 1 lb. mussels, scrubbed and debearded
  • ½ lb. peeled and deveined medium shrimp
  • ½ lb. skinless flaky white fish (such as bass, halibut, or cod), cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp. chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
