Martina McBride’s Granola
Martina McBride‘s personal granola recipe she posted on Instagram.
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon canola or vegetable oil
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 cups (old fashioned) oats
  • subheading: ½ cups:
  • - slivered almonds
  • - sunflower seed (unsalted)
  • - halved pecans
  • ½ cup of dried cherries or dried cranberries
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 300°
  2. In saucepan , melt butter.
  3. Add oil, brown sugar, honey, vanilla, orange zest & kosher salt.
  4. Cook, stirring, just until the brown sugar has melted.
  5. In large bowl mix together the oats, slivered almonds, sunflower seed, and halved pecans.
  6. Poor brown sugar mixture over oat mixture and stir until thoroughly moistened.
  7. Spread on lightly greased sheet pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
  8. Add dried cherries or cranberries.
