Lentil & Vegetable Khichdi / Masala Khichdi

  • ½ cup Split green moong lentils
  • ½ cup White Rice washed
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds or Jeera
  • ½ tbsp Ginger paste
  • ½ Onion small, chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • Cilantro to garnish

  • 1 Potato small, cut into small pieces
  • ½ cup Carrots cut into small pieces
  • ½ cup Green peas
  • subheading: Spices:
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric or Haldi powder
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne or Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
