Peperoncini Jackfruit Sandwiches with Mushroom Au Jus
Ingredients
  • subheading: FOR THE MUSHROOM MARINADE + AU JUS:
  • 1 tsp Oil of your choosing
  • ½ c Onion chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 2 c Mushroom Broth or a rich vegetable broth if you can't find it
  • ¼ c A1 Sauce or a smoky BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce make sure yours is vegan
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce or Tamari
  • 2 tsp Seasoning (I used a Montreal Steak Seasoning)
  • 1 c Mixed Mushrooms pick dark, flavorful mushrooms
  • subheading: TO COMPLETE THE SANDWICH:
  • 2 cans Jackfruit in BRINE drained, well rinsed & dried
  • 4 Ciabatta or other Rolls
  • 1 jar MEZZETTA Peperoncini sliced
  • Vegan Mayonnaise
  • Vegan Provolone (or Swiss) Style Cheese Slices
