Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped apples
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 TBSP butter (sliced)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (or more to taste)
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups water
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
Steps
- 1. Line a 4 quart slow cooker with a disposable liner. Place apples, cranberries, oats, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg inside. Pour in milk and water and mix to combine. Cover.
- 2. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Sprinkle cooked oatmeal with chopped walnuts.
