Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Caramelized Onions and Pine Nuts
Ingredients
  • 6 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 small or 1 medium onion, sliced thinly
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped coarsely
  • 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, stems trimmed, and sliced in half lengthwise
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup, preferably Grade A (medium amber) or Grade B
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Water, as needed for cooking
