Wattleseed and Poppy Seed Fritter (Posto Bora)
Ingredients
  • 80 gm white poppy seeds (see note)
  • 10 gm finely ground wattleseeds, plus extra for scattering
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • 30 gm moist coconut flakes (such as McKenzies)
  • ½ tsp caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil, plus extra for shallow-frying
  • Julienned green chilli, sweet and sour Indian pickles and steamed rice, to serve.
