Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Almond Glaze

Ingredients

  • 3 sticks butter or margarine
  • 3 cups flour
  • 8oz cream cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 extra large eggs

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
Steps
  1. Cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Add eggs alternately with flour. Add vanilla.
  2. Place in large greased and floured tube/Bundt pan. Place in cold oven and turn oven to 300F. Bake 1.5 hours, sometimes 10 minutes more. Do not open oven door until cake is done.
  3. Let cake cool for 5 minutes before inverting pan.
