HOMEMADE BELGIAN WAFFLES
Wonderful crisp on outside, fluffy inside.

Ingredients
  • 2 ¼ C All Purpose Flour
  • 1 TBS Baking Powder
  • 3 TBS Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ C Veggie Oil
  • 2 C Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Steps
  1. Preheat waffle iron, spray with non stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a medium bowl beat the egg whites with hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  4. In a separate medium bowl mix together the egg yolks, veggie oil, milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Add the egg yolk mixture to the flour and mix well.
  6. Fold in the egg whites.
  7. Pour batter onto hot waffle iron and cook until golden or, to your liking.
  8. Serve immediately with butter and syrup, powdered sugar or any other toppings of your choice.
Notes
  • Made waffles can be cooled on a rack, wrapped in plastic, placed in frig and cooked in a tooster next day; they are just as good.
