HOMEMADE BELGIAN WAFFLES

Wonderful crisp on outside, fluffy inside.

Ingredients
- 2 ¼ C All Purpose Flour
- 1 TBS Baking Powder
- 3 TBS Sugar
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- ½ C Veggie Oil
- 2 C Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Steps
- Preheat waffle iron, spray with non stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a medium bowl beat the egg whites with hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In a separate medium bowl mix together the egg yolks, veggie oil, milk and vanilla extract.
- Add the egg yolk mixture to the flour and mix well.
- Fold in the egg whites.
- Pour batter onto hot waffle iron and cook until golden or, to your liking.
- Serve immediately with butter and syrup, powdered sugar or any other toppings of your choice.
Notes
- Made waffles can be cooled on a rack, wrapped in plastic, placed in frig and cooked in a tooster next day; they are just as good.
