Texas Style Borracho Beans Recipe from H-E-B
I used michelob uktra, 1 t oregano, soaked 2 days, Instapot crocked medium, 30 hours; 2 minutes Instapot pressurized with natural release. Doubles recipe (2lb bag of beans). Served more than 30 people.

  • 6 slices thick cut bacon, diced or cut into lardons
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 fresh garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 Tbsp Texas Backyard Organic Mexican Oregano
  • 3 cup(s) chicken stock
  • 12 fl oz Mexican beer
  • 3 bay leaves
