Butter-Braised Fingerlings
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ pounds fingerling potatoes
  • 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 ½ tablespoons small sage leaves (or coarsely chopped large ones)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons rosemary leaves
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (2 large or 3 medium cloves)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice (or sherry or malt vinegar)
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley and/or minced chives or scallions and/or rosemary or borage blossoms to garnish
