  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast (see note 3)
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 medium beet, peeled and quartered (see note 4)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon - 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 2 ½ cups vital wheat gluten
  • Glaze
  • ½ cup reduced sugar apricot jam (see note 5)
  • ½ cup organic brown sugar
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp beet powder (optional, for color)
