- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small head of cabbage
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes, with liquid I pureed mine but chunks works great
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups water
- ¾ cup rice
- 1 to 2 tsp salt (more may be needed to fit your taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried parsley
