Apple and Walnut Loaf
Ingredients
  • 60 grams butter, room temperature
  • ¾ Cup Brown Sugar, packed, 150 grams
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 1 Egg, large
  • 1 ½ Cups Plain White Flour, 225 grams
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon, ground
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg, ground
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 150mls Buttermilk (Combine 150 mls of plain milk with 1 tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice - see below)
  • 2 Apples, Peeled & Diced
  • ½ Cup Walnut pieces, diced

  • ½ Cup Walnuts, halved
  • 14 grams Butter, melted
  • 1 Tablespoon White Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
