Afton’s Favorite Lemon Squares

Ingredients
  • subheading: Crust:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  •  
  • subheading: Filling:
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ⅓ cup lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp lemon zest
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Melt butter
  3. Blend well with flour and sugar
  4. Pat into lightly greased 9x13 pan
  5. Bake for 20 mins
  6. Mix filling, pour over hot crust
  7. Bake 20 to 25 mins
  8. Dust with powdered sugar
  9. Cool 5 to 10 minutes and cut into squares
