Ingredients
  • sweet potato - cut them into nice thick slices - perfect for scooping up that sloppy joe goodness!
  • olive or avocado oil - just a drizzle to help with roasting the sweet potato slices.
  • dijon mustard - a little tang on top!
  • sliced pickles - use your favorite - we love this brand!
  • pickled red onions - these quick homemade pickled red onions are so easy to have on hand in the fridge!
  • garlic: because pretty much every savory recipe is better with garlic!
  • yellow onion red onion: I love using two kinds of onions because it adds in some depth of flavor.
  • bell pepper: adds a bit of crunch. You can also add in diced carrots if you want!
  • kosher salt ground black pepper: helps bring out the other flavors.
  • Ground Beef: we love Country Natural Beef, it’s simply the best!
  • dijon mustard yellow mustard apple cider vinegar: these add in acidity to help round out the flavors.
  • paleo ketchup  tomato paste: to help create that tomato-sauce base.
  • coconut aminos : adds in some umami flavors.
  • chili powder: this adds a pop of flavor and you can add more if you want to up the spice.
