New York Cheese Cake (6" cake)
Ingredients
  • subheading: Biscuit bottom Ingredient:
  • Oreo 100g(removed filling) (I used digestive biscuits)
  • Butter 50g
  • Dash of sugar

  • note: Mix biscuit, butter and sugar for crust. Refrigerate until needed.

  • subheading: Cheese Ingredients:
  • Philadelphia Cream cheese 250g
  • sugar 70g
  • Egg 2 pcs
  • Cornstarch 15g
  • Lemon juice 10g-13g
  • Fresh milk 80g
  • Vanilla essence ½ teaspoon
Steps
  1. I did a bit of changes coz the original recipe asked for Oreo base but I used biscuit base instead and doubled the recipe for a 9" cake..

  3. 1. Melt the cream cheese at outside temperature, add sugar, whisk with mixer till smoothly, add egg one by one till mix well.
  4. 2. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
  5. 3. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  6. 4. Add cornstarch and mix well.
  7. 5. Add fresh milk and mix well.
  8. 6. Pour cheese batter into the mould with biscuit. (**double wrap with aluminium foil first)
  9. 7. Pour hot water into oven tray. Baked with double boil(water bath) method.
  10. 8. Preheat oven with temperature 150 to 160c and baked for 60mins. (I used 180c as it was 9" cake pan)
  11. 9. Turn off oven and keep cake in oven for another 30 mins.
  12. 10. Keep into the fridge after cool down from oven. Serve after 4 hours . U may keep it overnight.
