Ingredients
- SCALE 1x2x3x
- 1 package soy tempeh
- 2 tbs agave
- ½ tsp Chinese five spice powder (If you don’t want to buy a spice just for this recipe, you can skip this, it will make it a little more traditional but it’s still delish without it. You can find it here or near the dried spices at your grocery store)
- ½ cup teriyaki sauce (I used Soy Vay reduced sodium)
- 1 tbs Japanese rice wine (Also known as Mirin, you can find it on the international foods aisle of the grocery store)
- 1 tbs White vinegar
- ½ tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbs White Miso
- 2 tsp Liquid smoke, you can usually find it on the aisle with the bbq sauce
- 2 tbs peanut or untoasted sesame oil
- Optional, About 10 drops Red food coloring (you can find vegan food coloring on amazon here or at whole foods, it is just for looks so you can totally leave it out!)
